Ooohhhh. Us kids thought Lost in Space was just a new role for Robby after his debut in Forbidden Planet. :o

The "Robby" robot did show up for a couple of episodes of Lost in Space. (Not as the role of Robby from Forbidden Planet, though.)

You straightened that out perfectly. Thank you, Roy. Robby of Forbidden Planet was the first, something totally new we never saw previously, so we thought he was the coolest ever.

I wonder how that three tracked robot could turn without ripping the center track off of it's guide wheels.
You begin flying with a full bag of luck and an empty bag for experience. The object is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

You are totally correct,Mitch . It should have been "we kids." In fact, it shouldn't have been "kids" at all, too. Good call, Mitch. :)
There are times I get too relaxed and slide back into the vernacular.

John, what you're looking at is actually four tracks, two per foot. Originally, the Robot stepped, as well as making use of his tracks. Unfortunately, they had lots of problems with the hero costume (the one I showed above). The feet on the hero costume were ultimately bolted together.

There was another costume where the Robot continued to step - but he was shown only from the waist up. That's because that costume actually had no feet, and thus caused no problems for the guy inside (Bob May).

Exactly. What was your strongest evidence of that?
