Although this topic is "the Invasion of Europe", IMHO, the citizens of the U.S. really have no idea of what may be coming to our country. Many of our
countrymen "feel sorry" for these poor depressed "immigrants" that only want a better life. Remember that many citizens had/have little interest in that
dull subject they were subjected to in school called history unless it was about racing or athletics so history is no longer taught. Thus, most of us
have ignored it ( 0bviously not true of the participants on MTJ). I could go on but see no reason to do so.

It's a worthwhile effort, but much is left unexplained in the deepest recesses of our minds. There is more out there than spinning rocks and energies. Maybe. Sort of. We hope. Sense. Feel. Believe.

Ever since, on April 23,1955, when I greeted my mother at curbside when she disembarked from her car, walked past me, purple-faced with grief, and went to the rear of the house to meet with family and give them the news that my father (@41) had just died, I have had a big WTF ready , usually , to meet the latest news of the day.

Why do we try to figure things out? Because we are scared-shitless that it all may mean NOTHING and simply end at the dump?

Ho, that's The day I moved into the apt. I had my PA-plates car full of personal items and luggage. As I was schlepping everything in, I left a portable TV on the roof of the car, since my hands were pretty full, and I figured that the neighbors who were watching the whole proceedings from their next-door stoop would watch things for me.

When I came back out to the sidewalk.....
