DaVinci, Last supper. It's their feet and the feet of the benches they are sitting on. I thought it might be one of Rivera's murals (not the huge one in Detroit at the DIA) but a google search pointed to the Last Supper and even then I had to zoom in to see the bottom of the table cloth and the "hands" were feet.
Once I built a railroad, I made it run,
Made it race against time.
Once I built a railroad, now it's done --
Brother, can you spare a dime?

You guys are amazing.
I had theorized there were some images that had become such icons, even though we may be seeing only a piece of them, that we would recognize them. My theory, also, includes that when human beings speak through art, we are particularly well understood and remembered.

Beautiful.
And I suspected the "mystery" would be solved before the day was out.
Yup.
Nice.

Close Murph but it is the Hubble Space Telescope.
LIke you mentioned with the Last Supper, the Hubble Telescope is an iconic image few of us will ever forget, especially after it being sent into outer space in an out-of-focus condition and someone had to fly up to it and adjust the focus.

And I deny Hondo74's name for the image had anything at all to do with recognizing it.
