Quite frankly, I’m against people who give vent to their loquacity by extraneous bombastic circumlocution.

Only the finest of care that might be imagined.......

Through no fault of its own, it is not a place now in its current incarnation that I have any good memories of and probably never will.

On Penn St. in Whittier. I think this used to be a Pacific Electric building:

I've posted 2-3 other photos of the station in Mechanicsburg, both original and current. Nice to see that they saved most of the building; too bad about that upper section/tower being lost.

Seems wonderfully peaceful, a place where neighbors know and value one another. (Or am I looking into the past again with my usual pair of rose-colored glasses on ?)

I have another card of that scene albeit from a slightly different angle, etc.

I know that bit of Dry Run very well. Dry Run is about 5 miles from my place in PA. Most of those houses are still there; house on the right side belonged to Cecil the electrician - estate auction including the house was in late July - basically that house is unchanged - big tree in the yard, and that fence is gone. Stonework walls across the street are still there. Aspects of that area are basically unchanged.

"5 miles from [your] place in PA" likely has something to do with your sense of humor (as perceivable here) and easy going nature (?)
