I get considerable enjoyment on OGR forum because there I get numerous reactions to and conversations about the photos I share there of layout modeling. That's become fun for me.

I don't understand. You say you've lost interest in your own layout modeling, yet, you enjoy talking about it. Have the folks you're talking to given up layout modeling, too?

It's pretty simple. I have thousands of photos of various stages of change on my layout and of work I have done for others. I take new photos of new angles of Moon Township. Lots of hobbyists who are active voices on OGR are in the process of establishing or expanding or changing a model train layout so we all enjoy exchanging information and accomplishments.

I would refer you to OGR , Run285; then, take a look at Run221. Change. And tons of layout work.

FWIW. Several years ago I posted many photos of my layout including some of the building process. These were removed from MTJ in a purge and I lost
my photos to a computer problem. I am a two, sometimes three, finger typist. So I am slow. On top of that my camera died. I had just reached a point
where I thought I knew what I was doing. Got a new one but am not secure with it yet. My eyes are getting worse all of the time and it is also hard to read. My much better half, SHE, has had some severe health problems recently and is still recovering. So I just don't want to take the time that I need to take and post those photos again.
I always enjoy seeing photos of Murphs layout or any other layout that is posted. Murph says everybody that wants to see his already has. I see something new every time I see his layout. Christopher has layouts that are ALWAYS changing, On the two rail section I find beautiful hand, kit made and bashed models on always interesting layouts. The 2R guys don't just play with trains like I do. They research them also. NO, they are not all rivet counters, at least the ones on MTJ are not.
I have said this many times and will continue to say it. MTJ is my favorite forum. FUN can be had here. Yes FUN. Hobbies are supposed to be FUN.
I am 84 now and am a retired teacher. My retirement pay is based on a percentage of my past salaries. My pay wasn't bad but neither was it great.
I have never had much to spend on this hobby which has been my only one for many years. I still play with my trains some but not as much as I once did.

There are only a very few here that post anything really related to model RR'ing; layout building, models, projects of any kind. In fact, I'd be hard pressed to think that might be in double digits. The majority posting here on MTJ never show a single model, anything they have made or done, their layout, etc. I have to wonder if many even have a layout of any kind....

I have a "How I did it" coming up showing how I made D2-F2 trucks for my recently acquired PRR Class GLa gondola. Estimated delivery of parts is Friday, Sep 14, 2018. I'll post even if I fail because the two rail guys are always very helpful with useful advice. (If I think I nailed it, they will let me know how far off I am. )

Some have questioned whether I have a layout - some also have seen my layout; it's just rarely open for visitors. I will also note that I out photographer stopped over to take a handful of photos so that I can eventually write a bit of an article on one aspect of it. After I get done with the rest of scenery, I'll ask him to return to capture the rest.

I wish every locomotive I own (including those with the electro/mechanical E-Units) had LionChief + control.
If it was sold separately I would convert many engines.
