Rufus,
What is that thing in your avatar?
No one else has asked so I guess everybody else knows.

It is one of Rufus' laboratory experiments. Rufus invented something called "Elixir of Life."

It would have fulfilled a bible prophecy, "The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it."
--Psalm 37:29

But each Elixir of Life formulation had a serious side effect that prevented it from being marketable. We have witnessed some of these side effects in Rufus' recent avatars.

This image of Rufus in the laboratory shows Rufus after drinking what he named, "Elixir of Life--The Splitting Skull Formulation."

In the above photo, you can see that someone has sutured his head back together but there is still the problem with his eyes. He wasn't able to use his laboratory instruments until the elixir wore off and his eyes returned.

I wanted to post this here as well because Bill was certainly one of us hobos and left and let the Jungle run. This thread has an amazing amount of views if you really consider it. I wonder why?

Shocked to hear the news of Bill's death!

Nothing can be said but: Bill was the best. He upheld the true American values of freedom of speech, and trust and respect among fellow men. A good man is always missed, and Bill will certainly be missed. Rest in peace, Bill, knowing you did wonderfully here on Earth. We need more Bill's in this country. Cheers. I will raise a dram to you soon.

Wayne, the place I know does not look like that. Give me a bit more information in finding your spot. Did you see the picture of my rosy ***? Does that look the same? Who is the beautiful woman in the water and why is she wearing a bathing suit? At my spot you wouldn't. I google earthed my spot and was surprised by the surroundings. Very remote and I believe the water is cooler (around 90 degrees), but I never checked it.

Murph! I love your idea! Maybe the meeting could be part of the movie? Animal still has lots of filming to do. The Dirt will no longer have anything to do with me. Not exactly sure why. Oh well.

Healey! And STEEL wheels! I bought very expensive reproduction 356 wheels. Shite! I got the real original wheels with Michelin tires on the 356 now. Only way to fly!

Any of you hobos live near Binghamton, New York. My 356 will be showing as a work of art in September if all goes as planned.

The old racing and Porsche pictures are great.

Hondo, I owned a 1970 Targa for almost 20 years. It drove fine but I never could like the looks. I'm a Reutter built 356 1952 to 1959 guy. Nothing else quite does it for me. If you check out Porsche 356 pre-A 1948-1955 site on FB, you will see and read all the upset my simple POV generates among the new 356 PRIGS! What a bunch of arsholes.

Also, hobos, if you want to see current model railroad photos of the pike I'm building, go to Kelly Harris on FB. If any of you read LIVECELL, you will remember the character Kelly Harris. Cheers!

Sorry, one last thing. If you want to see one freaking amazing photo of Ann Margret (might be my favorite) go here: http://quantumrun356.com/2018/08/08/und ... e-of-cool/

And no photoshop!

I was stunned to read this here, earlier this morning, from you, Tramp. Speaking only for myself, Thank You, for posting this information here because I do not frequent the 3-Rail sub-forum much and had absolutely no idea of what had happened.

I suppose that sooner or later, this means the end of us here. I am surprised MTJ lasted this long after Bill's passing in June, which must be due to somebody's amazing consideration and kindness.

As I continue to learn (at the same age as Bill was), that everything comes to an end, even the kindness of strangers, and to those kind individuals themselves, this will take some time to fully absorb.

Thank you, again, Tramp, for your thoughtfulness, to Bill's memory, as well as to us here who enjoy contact due to Bill's graciousness, in posting this news on this "Hobo Jungle" .

Planning a run up to Watkins Glen toward the end of September (presuming it didn't get washed into the lake by the recent rains), then over to Albany for a few days, a stop at Cooperstown, then back to Maryland. Should take us through Binghamton on the way home. Let us know the details when things come together...

Ann-Margret airing it out, lol.
