Gun Control + and -'s
Gun Control + and -'s
This is how a shooter should be handled. Just think what could have happened had this "citizen" not took the shooter down before doing more serious damage.

Now, I'll be interested to see if the national new carries this or it gets buried since it is pro-gun. Looking forward to watching Judy Woodruff and "PBS New World News" to see if they even mention it.....they mention every other shooting, but it goes against their anti-gun propaganda.

Great story.

As you have stated this does not fit the liberal medias agenda so there won't be much about it.
The same way they dropped the last school shooting in Texas because there was no AR15 and high capacity magazines involved. The shooter used a pump shotgun and 38 revolver. That doesn't fit their narrative for banning semi-autos.

California Moves To Let Schools, Co-workers 'Red Flag' Dangerous Gun Owners
https://www.yahoo.com/news/california-m ... 37335.html
According to the democrats everyone who owns a gun is DANGEROUS.
Recently California passed a law that will let them ban books they deem inappropriate, and they have done a good job of limiting free speech and they will use this to get around the 2nd amendment to confiscate guns. All guns have to be registered in California so they know who owns them. Kind of reminds me of Germany in the 1930s.
I wonder who they will elect for their next Fuhrer.

Two people left the restaurant to fetch guns from their car. Then returned and shot the suspect.
This can be spun into jail time for each shooter.

I have begun to wonder if women, in particular, should almost be required to carry concealed guns.

For the last 2 years I have been helping a good friend of mine at gun shows. He has an FFL and we do background checks on all sales. At the show near the 1st of the year in Springfield we sold 12 handguns to women. Sales were down last weekend so we only had 4 women buy handguns. There are a lot of women that come to the shows,
There is a women at the show that sells purses and handbags for concealed carry. She does a pretty good business selling them because she is at every show.
But I do have some reservations about women and guns for protection. Where I used to work I had several of my co=workers ask me what I would recommend for them. I always started the answer with a question. Are you capable of taking a human life. Because that may be what you have to do. If you get a gun and are not capable of using it, it might get used on you.
There is no perfect answer for this.

I agree.

A good start would be to fix adults that raise children. As the old saying goes "hurt people hurt people"

It may not be perfection, but a safety course should be required before ownership.

Seems painfully obvious - safety and responsibility. Serious shortage of both these days.

This thread started about the shooter in the restaurant in Oklahoma. Some info on that person.
Police: Suspected restaurant gunman spoke online about demons
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/police-sus ... homa-city/
Tilghman was licensed as an armed security guard, which authorized him to carry a firearm, said Gerald Konkler, general counsel for the Oklahoma Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training. The council certifies law enforcement officers and other armed personnel across the state. Obtaining such a license requires a background check and at least 72 hours of training.
This person was "broken" and he posted on social media about having the DEMONS. But nobody picked up on it.
So the safety and training accomplished nothing in this case.. But training and safety is still a good idea. If you were born after 1957, to get a hunting license you have to go through a hunter safety program. My son went through that program and I went with him even though it was not required for me. I am not a hunter so I have never had a hunting license.

How many such posts get made and are remotely credible? Who should be monitoring such stuff? Does the actual manpower to follow up on such even really exist?
