I just don't do that sort of thing enough anymore to make even the $84 value for money, let alone the $400 PB suddenly tried to hold me hostage for. If Faecesbook can be "free" in return for Little Tiffany allowing herself to be available for advertisers, I can't understand Photobucket's suddenly telling me to "stand and deliver", other than they feel they could rake in more unchallenged by so doing. Too bad for them.

I just counted. I have an entire fifty images on here in total at an average of 800Kb per, so pretty much bailing with a thimble. I can't even justify the $85 a year to host a mere 40Mb (wouldn't make a dent in a $10 thumb drive) and this is the only train forum I frequent with the odd photo. Lots of folks don't third-party photos in a volume that makes it worthwhile as another bill, let alone a flat-rate tariff.

I wonder if there is a way to buy a cheap sub-terrabyte external memory, leave it on all the time, and use it as a host so long as the power to it stays on.

Its a matter of perspective though. I hope the guys who are cheesed off, pulling their photos, and swearing they won't post again think about the fact what they are pulling might fill a cheap thumb-drive so it's largely symbolic. Meanwhile, these hosting services don't realise that free hosting for all those little guys who play perhaps a gig or two apiece is wide open, and you would think thousands upon thousands of them would make a broad marketing platform for advertisers. Works for the social media...

Meanwhile, I have to wonder where all the capacity here really went. Surely the builds posted here really don't need to get yanked in favour of keeping the crap unvetted over in the "Lounge"? Meanwhile, what I post I try to remember to resize to 800k or so; plenty big enough for a monitor and leaves some room for the next guy.

I had 108 that I deleted. Now you want a hoot to shoot. Try a beawolf 50 cal. It’s an ar15 based 50 cal. I don’t shoot much as they all crack and ammo is no longer made. I should sell off my ammo and convert to a 308 or 223.
