Still Looking for Bultmann motor/gearbox

Gentleman,

I thought my buddy had this issue resolved, but heard from him last night and he doesn't. He still needs a motor and gearbox for the pilot model of the C&LS 4-10-2 he purchased. He was told an eBayer named Pandaman38 bought a lot of parts at Henry's auction including the motors and gearboxes. He sent 2 messages to this party though EB without any response (possibly EB didn't let the emails go through).

He contacted the auction company, but they either don't understand the request or they're too busy to check and tell him who bought these parts.

He also sent an email to the builder (LIK Industries) thanks to Rich's help on finding them, but has heard nothing back.

So, we're back to square 1.

Anyone know this Pandaman38? Anyone have any fresh ideas on how to find the buyer of these parts? I know he wants to try and keep the loco factory stock if possible and not repower it, so that is the reason for this quest.

Jay, Mike and I never really connected, as I thought this problem was solved, but I sent him an email to him this morning.

That's a bummer. I know Mike is real busy getting ready for OSW. Rumor has it that he will have numerous tables. I'll pester him for you. I like to pester people. You know, best defense is a good offense, and all that.

Maybe your buddy should have let me just buy it. My adherence to keeping it 100% stock wasn't all that important.

more than likely ebay did not allow your emails through. I've had the same problem.
I believe PandaMan is one of the O scalers in the greater DC, Maryland, Virgina group that includes Ed Rappe, Dave Friedlander, Chris Smith and others.
You may want to message Ed Rappe about him.

If you used PayPal to pay for the auction, you should be able to log in to PayPal and see his name and address. Google for the rest.

If you look at Pandaman's listings, it's not much of a mystery. He buys stuff and resells on Feebay. I would just lay back and see what he posts. Actually, I'd put a general search out for C&LS, figuring there's a good chance it (a drive) might show up there sooner or later. If you really want to get psychotic, buy another one (loco) and do a transplant. Norm Pullen had one!

That happens whenever you try to work around their terms of service and communications. He may also just not be bothering to respond to you if your inquiries are not directly related to the item.

No, he's not. He's just another guy that buys and sells a lot of stuff that just happens to have a substantial train component to the percentage. I've bought from him in the past and driven over to his house to pick stuff up to cut out shipping.

Yeah, I just checked his current auctions on EB and he's very prolific. Everything from car parts, to clothes, to trains of all gauges and everything in between. I'm sure he works hard at it.

Really sad that this auction was so poorly advertised as i believe the items would have brought a lot more money had serious train people known about it, instead of auction and estate sale junkies. A real disservice to Henry's life.


Tried to find him on PP, but you need an email address, name or phone number to locate someone. Pandaman just doesn't work....at least the way I'm doing it.

Heard from a couple of forum members and we have a way to make contact with Pandaman. So, the forum has been very helpful on this matter. Hope to report some good news soon.
