Many might not recognize a book but you might get some invitations.....

I'm not sure one could say I was an actual, authentic Hippie, but I played one in that movie , the one called NYC in the 70's.

Regarding performing for future invitations, I have enough, and I have had enough.

Breaking out my Sandburg in Washington Square nowadays would probably get me avoided as some oldfart who had eaten too much icecream. :? Case-in-point< for some dumb reason, I took it into my mind to order , on-line, one of those small-brimmed "Fedora-type" hats, in straw, for the summertime. When I put it on, my wife and I both felt, immediately, that I looked demented and awful. I sent it back. So much for me in hats any further.

I'm coming to learn and realize that some things - some moments - are GONE and cannot be revived or relived. Period. :|

You let her have her way with you; your 1st experience with domination & submission......

Can you imagine? Nope.

Better than True Confessions,

..and yet another example of how life can and does change (not that you needed to hear it from me.) I spent a good part of the late-morning and afternoon trudging knee-deep through the plowed-snow along our fence, trimming and carrying away all the evergreen limbs that had fallen or had split into a lean beyond the outside of our fence, obstructing traffic. The town helped me by pulling a lot of it off the roadway and onto our shoulder. However, the remaining hanging limbs had to be bow-sawed down and cut up with clippers, and then dragged across the street for a curbside pick-up. Fortunately, the 30-something young neighbor, who used to help me when I attended the TCA Meets @ York, saw me laboring through it all and pitched-in. WOW. What a helpful Guardian Angel he was !!!!!!!!!!!!! But ya know what, after I got back inside the house, sat , and ate a little bit, the exercise felt good, making me actually look forward to resuming my daily 2-3mi walks around town, as well as my treks Upstate NY (into Black Bear country.)

Thanks. I think you're right. That's what I did and continue to feel pretty good about. Less fatassed TV mind-numbing uneffort. And, yes, I was careful to take my time and not push too hard or fast. I had no reason to hurry and strain. The piddling traffic went around.

Better add "Deep Woods OFF" to your self-protection kit. Remember what we recently learned about mosquitos.

Well, it would be nice if they make it but the only "new" colleges that seem to be are on the internet.
It will never be as important as it once was.
Of course just IMHO.

Good point (as usual!) I'll be sure to get more, before I trudge-off on my next backwoods adventure-hike, Wayne. Good man. Good looking-out. :D

In my quest for a broad, liberal-arts education, I sat on that very lawn and under that very tree, at Antioch, "back-in-the-day" (in my pre-drifter days.) It was heaven.
