So, really down. Not sure what drawings I was using, but the cab is just plain old incorrect. Not only that, but it fits perfectly except that it hits the rear drivers.

It will take me days to mentally recover - maybe I saw it before subconsciously and that is why I shelved it. I did not see it until the window mullions were soldered in and filed to shape.

So, nuts! I may do another Berk. I need three good PRR cabs, but my motivation just sunk through the floor.

Yeah. A good night's sleep, and I am ready to re-do the cab. However, the dirtbag Berk got some beads, and now it needs about three hours of piping. Still deserves to be in the "ugly" column.

Ok, the Berk is truly ugly...for now......I know your going to change that Bob but have to ask what's with the passenger car trucks on the tender?
As far as that 4-4-0 , you need to cut bait on that disaster and send to..... oh....me.

I might. I am torn between salvaging bulkheads and mullions and starting from scratch. If I give up and start the entire project over, I will ship the scrapped locomotive, and you can abate the asbestos.

The Berk is moving along. It needs just a few more pipes. I did not realize it had a MoPac front end throttle - its previous owner had attempted MoPac with that slanted telephone booth cab. It will be CNW with the wrong throttle setup. Who will ever know?

That is a B&O tender - The trucks are SP tender Commonwealth. I think they also were used on B&O tenders.

Three hours of piping complete. It needs only a bell and some paint, and maybe a pair of stirrup steps on the pilot.
Been a week - the quarter break, and all I had to do is grade a few papers, start the inspection of the Decathlon, and work up to starting over on the D16 cab. Photos once the sun is up.

Had no idea those ripples were in my tender. The locomotive is not really accurate for CNW, but I don't care - it was therapy. Now it is time for a new cab wrapper. At least there are not many rivets! I think the 1220 has a wood cab.

Three more or less complete CNW, two SP of the B&M style and one SP freelance, two MoPac, and one semi-kit. I have converted several mechanisms to Mikados.

I do have enough trains. I also have enough 1965 Mustang Convertibles and enough Piper Cubs. Back in the old days I had enough girlfriends. The Greek would not put up with that today.

Oh, yeah. I have enough Model road graders, enough metal lathes, more than enough drill presses . . .

The Greek says it is time to unload. I plan on taking it all with me.

Bob, I applaud your rapid progress here, though no surprise you have some serious technique down with regard to applying all the piping and boiler detail.
Fun to watch.

"I plan on taking it all with me." Interesting. Pile it all in that convertible Mustang and ride off into the sun set. I have a convert.Cobra 1995 last of the 302s. car #995 of 1001. Truly the last day of production. I talked with a guy from ford's SVT department and he says " the last 5 went to top brass. Also claims 1001 were made." My owners manual says "995 of 1000" He wont say it's the last one sold to the public. I drive it every day that it don't snow.
