Love this ongoing thread fellas please keep it up. Bob that headlight image is marvelous beyond description. As with anything you do it’s pure beauty and inspirational for sure.

Yes everything in this photo is scratch built. For inspiration and general measurements I used a HO scale Alexander Scale models Coaling tower and a Campbell scale model Water tank I had left over from my HO days. Each was modified somewhat since working with the larger size of O scale allowed for more detailing etc. The coal drop is from various photos.

Swap that Dalmatian for a Cocker Spaniel and add a 5-yr old kid and that could be me waiting for the train with my uncle Leslie and his dog Juno back in 1956!!!
After visiting with him and my aunt Gwen he took me to the station in London to get me back to my grandparents in Chester. Problem was he put me on the wrong train! The train he put me on was going to Scotland and they had to radio ahead to get it stopped so I could get off.
Never been so scared in my life. I couldn't understand what all those Englishmen were saying and I'm sure they couldn't understand this 5-yr old from southern Virginia
