Those have to be Louis Bartig models. Jim Cantor bought the collection a few months back. Great surprise for those attending as it doesn't get much better the Louis Bartig.

The Indianapolis O Scale and S Scale Midwest show is over. There were a few bumps in the road but, by large, it was successful with more attendees than in recent years, not to mention more layouts. We leaned why the previous promoter had rented tables and not used the hotel tables... it would have been nice if we were told the reasoning ahead of time, but lesson learned. The table size was about the only issue. In the next O Scale Resource magazine, we'll cover the show, as well as an open letter to all with what went wrong, what went right and what we'll change for next year along with the man hours involved with putting on a show like this. Most, if any promoters, don't do this, but we believe the people who paid have a right know.


To those vendors and attendees who attended, we thank you. We received more positive comments than negative, and a lot of people thanked us for our hard work - for that we are very appreciative.

I have never been to an all scale O or S show So please help me understand.
Are the photos above of the actual show or of preparations for the show?
If it is the actual show that seems to be a lot of products for sale.
Are the photos before the general public was admitted?
Do most of the attendees sell stuff?

This was midday Friday. Yes, lots to sell and the sellers were mostly very happy. When you can buy new Atlas billboard refers for $25, it's a good show

I would be happy too if I could get Atlas cars new for $25.00. Why so cheap?
I will be watching for your analysis as mentioned above.
It just looks different from the typical train shows that I have attended
that usually are selling all scales.

You could also get San Juan built tanks cars for $20 each; I got a few; the dealer "only" had about 150; the last time I noticed there were about 15 left.
Also, a Corbin engine, at least one Alexander passenger car, Hallmark and CLW diesels, C&LS etc. Yes, very different, a great show.

All around improved show over the prior year!

Tables thing was annoying, but what are you going to do when you show up and that's already in play.....set up and go forward.

Sales were "inconsistent"........a very few larger items moved - it gets old very fast being told "that's a really good price" and then the person walks away never to return.............unable to sell a single kit, yet lots of bits and parts sold well.

Now, it has been bandied about for years; any thoughts of making this a Sat/Sun meet?
