I wonder how much they sell them for and do you buy one at a time or a box with more? One thing about it, live oysters, like clams, scallops, mussels and other molluscs have closed shells. If the shell is open you don't eat it.

Probably not in shells but refrigerated - not many folks hit the vending machines carrying an oyster shucking knife.....although there might be opening scene for a movie in that,

From the article, I assumed these machines were for after hour sales, when people wanted to buy oysters and take them home to eat. Would be a bit difficult for on the spot consumption. But, would gives new meaning to "the boyz was just standing around shucking and jiving". :) :)

The other two reports listed on that page give further indication of what is taken seriously enough by the community to warrant notice in the newspaper as well as by authorities. Altogether, I am not sure what to conclude about their priorities and level of mischief.

The above sign probably indicates the correct answer is none.

Of course, the sign also begs the question:
I wonder how many Mexicans there are in town to support a "Mexican" restaurant.

According to cops, Asher (seen in the above mug shot) and Richard Rice, 57, were found in possession of 3.37 grams of the drug, as well as a set of digital scales. Asher and Rice were each hit with felony narcotics possession and trafficking counts.

Scheduled to appear in court on November 12, Asher remains locked up in the county jail on $25,000 bond.

You go to a Chinese restaurant, like I did in Boston some years ago, as well as in NYC , and you always see plenty (a majority , I'd assert) of Chinese patrons.

The Mexican-Latino culture is growing in Rockford. There are 28 Mexican restaurants listed here: https://www.gorockford.com/restaurants/mexican/

I wonder why Taco Bell is not on the list? Well, Taco Bell in listed in Hondo's second link.
