Brass Kemtron or Copper Exacta

Hello O scalers
This car popped up on eBay .
From the photos thought it might be a copper Exacta ... but upon opening the box it looks much more in the brass camp
...so Kemtron ?
The car does have Kemtron trucks
''Tis a tall and large car some 21" in length .
And the verdic is ?

Looks good. Probably Kemtron. Try Barkeepers Friend on it, and if yellow it is not Exacta. Serious difference in color.

I like the car, but it REALLY doesn't look like an Exacta. If it is reasonable to take the floor off, if it IS an Exacta, the inside of the body should have a texture about like that of a light spray of "popcorn" texture on wallboard, and it should have an Exacta stamping, that appears to have been done with a rubber stamp.

Concur with Bob and Steve; this a Kemtron X-1505, 11 Bedroom Pullman, one of seven(make that nine per the catalogue) such UP ACF plans Kemtron offered as kits. It appears to be fairly straight/wrinkle free if a tad tarnished as they do get. Neat Car.

I'll try popping the floor off in a few days see if there are any additional clues .

Article mentions this is the early type construction of cars as the sides and roof are separate pieces . Later one piece construction .

At 21" long each car a full train would be plenty long !
If Kemtron began in the train world in the mid 50's catalog #8 is mid 60's ?
