I've got a host of stuff going on right now, but it's all for in OST so it's going to be seen anywhere else for a while.

If I get some space on a workbench, I do have a decent drover's caboose to restore/rebuild in the queue where I can at least see it peek out from all the rest.

Here now, do those Drake tank cars have an K brake under them and if so, can you post me up a photo of the underbody bake system and all the plumbing? Got a few USH tank cars sitting around gathering dust that I'm going to take a torch to soon!

Gee, does that mean you are going to model a junkyard scene similar to what our 3-rail brethern are able to purchase "off the rack"
(and maybe complete with the requisite animation)??
Take care,
Wolfgang

I was leaving that exercise to you.

I've been busy with the above drover's caboose and what is now the 4th or 5th USH tank car in the queue....and whatever is never up in the pile on the floor in my office. Looks like a pair of Huff 'n' Puff ballast cars that need help in getting somewhere closer to completion,

A crew of Oompa-Loompas with a box of matches, probably...... Probably a heating coil inside.......

But how were the coils heated?
Was there a generator to supply electricity?
Thought you might know if there was one on the model.

Steam heated through a pipe coil in the tank.

Right. Plugging that long extension cord was not available then - steam lines were common once upon a time.....
