Dennis, I had some ideas for my new novel in the middle of the damn night. Nothing to do but get up and write them down. Hours later I was finally back in bed.

Food is on, Jon, and it's not the mess hall.

Hobo Gets Rich Beakfast

1 lb.bacon
2 medium yellow onions; diced
1 1/2 cups fresh mushrooms; sliced
1 green bell pepper; diced
3 cloves garlic; minced
10-12 medium potatoes; sliced
12 eggs; beaten
salt and pepper to taste
3 cups grated Cheddar cheese
picante sauce

Heat a 12" Dutch oven using 18-20 briquettes bottom until hot.

Cut bacon into 1 inch slices. Add to Dutch oven and fry until brown. Add onion, mushrooms, bell pepper, garlic and saute until onions are translucent. Add potatoes and season with salt and pepper.

Cover and bake using 8 briquettes bottom and 14-16 briquettes top for 30 minutes.

Season eggs with salt and pepper then pour eggs over top of potatoes. Cover and bake another 20 minutes. Stir gently every 5 minutes. When eggs are done, cover top with cheese and replace lid. Let stand until cheese is melted.

Serve topped with picante sauce.

Serves: 10-12

Hey that's neat. I know a guy who's a boy scout, and every year he goes camping and cooks dinner and dessert in dutch ovens over a charcoal fire.

He will be glad to know he can do breakfast too (if he doesn't already.)

Hey Bo's really need your prayers. My wife's mom is pretty bad. The doctors give her anywhere from 2 days to 2 months but my wife and family think that's optomistic. I just ask for some prayers for my wife and her family. Her mom I know is will go to heaven the very moment but the family will being going through hell for a while. I know I can count on you guys. You always come through. Don't know why I am posting this but I guess I just needed some outlet too. I didn't want to lay any more on my wife. So I'd appreciate your thoughts and prayers. Sorry if I'm posting a downer for you guys but like I said I'm kinda releasing some pressure here.

Thanks

Your mother-in-law will be in our thoughts as well. You are blessed in that you have a mother-in-law that you really care about. When she passes, she will be at peace and with her family that passed before her.

I thought a "Dutch Oven" was when you fart and then pull the blankets over your wifes head.
