If I were to offer you a perspective, Tramp, it would be to suggest you read what Mitch and Wayne have said, and read it more than once.

For you to say "F.U." to absolutely everyone here because we did not jump to your wishes, regarding ANYthing, was unworthy of whom I thought (imagined?) you to be.

I should not have written that. I apologize. It wasn't just you lot that wouldn't buy a book. Not one of the friends I contacted bought one. I bought six but then he was my friend although we never met.

And Wayne, yes, too many typos in a self-published book. If only he had asked me to proof-read it.

Anyway, it does bother me that no one reads poetry. I believe in three things: poetry, truth, fairness. Poetry oddly becomes more important that truth.

And Solomon is wrong. The dead exist and there is some form of a powerful God around us. I'm not guessing at this. This is not belief. This is fact.

My outburst was meant more in jest, like a friendly taunt. Mainers taunt each other as a sign of affection. But it did not sound like that; it just sounded angry. This is why I stay away from almost all social media.

Cheers, to you guys. I know I need to get rid of my temper, inner rage, and bitterness. I do the best I can.

And, yes, Wayne, Kevin probably doesn't care, but it would've made a huge difference for his wife Mary.

Hi Tramp, What you said here is, of course, as we all know, key to our interpretation of your written message. Aside from using "emoticons", expressing oneself on a forum such as this depends on reputation and very careful word-choices. There is no facial expression, no body-English, and certainly no tone-of-voice to assist the message. So, what we were left with was the anger in the words you elected to use to express yourself.

I found the caution in Wayne's message to be most helpful to all of us, given his reputation for patience, well- measured replies, and considerate treatment of others. Though we were all surprised by what we perceived as your written message, we could see in his message a need for careful consideration. Your message of apology helps keep the old gang together.

You also said in your latest message that you valued truth. We can see that here in your words, and don't need tone or facial clues to explain your intention or interest more thoroughly.

Losing a friend makes us all wonder about just about everything. You are probably still raw from such a significant personal loss.

I, too, am sorry for your loss and continue to wish the best for you. And now, as a result of this conversation among us, we will be looking for that Maine sense of humor, instead of shock at being spoken to so out of character. Be well and safe, sir.

I am confused on this also because he said he and Kevin had never met. ??? Maybe it was someone else not named.

I just had a terrible thought, looks like Daisy hit him with a frying pan. Just kidding of course.

If I can find this poem book I will buy one and give it to my youngest grandson. He likes poetry and writes some also.
