I'm one who wouldn't know. I'm not a movie goer or movie watcher, for the most part. Last movie I saw on the big screen was '92 or '93, "A Few Good Men", and before that, it was the very early '70s, went out with a girl named Evelyn to the drive-in, and saw some of the "Summer of '42".

Anyone seen "Bridge of Spies?" I liked it a lot.
If you're a fan of John Wick mayhem, the sequel is coming out next month.. :D

I don't think the air temperature is to what you are referring, is it?
I think they did very well with the subject matter for the time when that movie was made.
Remember all the fuss over "Peyton Place" which is pretty tame by todays standards.

You are totally right, Roger. Different literature reflecting the times in which it was created.

The new "Blade Runner 2049" due out in October. The teaser looks great and has captured everything the original was famous for.

The movie was made in 1971, a little before Hollywood moved into doing the porno flicks.

If you want hotter, check out BOOGIE NIGHTS (1997) with Burt Reynolds, Mark Wahlberg and Julianne Moore. That one will warm you up a little bit. It doesn't leave anything for the imagination.

I've seen Boogie Nights
1 1/2 x's and found it to have a crude amateur tone and feel to it overall. Bert Reynolds seemed to be having a good ol' time of it, though, which was enjoyable, and the actor who played the fat effeminate sissy was something of a tour d'fierce (intended play-with-words there), but the serpentine character played by Mark W. was too much to bear (and be forced to see.) so overall it left me unamused and unentertained. Julianne M was pretty good, though , giving her career a real boost, I suspect, with that part.

Good for a few giggles...........

Also recommend, From Dusk till Dawn. Has an interesting cast: George Clooney, QuentinTarantino, Harvey Keitel and Juliette Lewis, and host of others along with Tito & Tarantula as the house band.

Giggles? Who wants giggles. I want a movie that makes my jaw fall wide-open with shocked, howling laughter, and I want to fall to the floor. I want senior citizens and children to be that amused, too.

I don't recall when I saw such a masterpiece last.
