IMHO that can be a good thing.
53 showed how he did many things that would work for many that were new to layout building.
For me, it helped me get past the scenery making block.Murph was also a large factor in motivating me to do scenery.

My guess is that documentation of Panhandle II will show the implementation of Command Control and possibly why
you made/make the choices that you do. There was no one in my area that was involved with a three rail model
railroad in my area. I use O-27 type track because that is what I knew after a 50 year absence from the hobby.
The smallest curves are O-42 but if I had been able to get input from others I may have made a different choice
of type and brand. I will say that cost was a factor and O-27 was cheap.

53 announced on MTF that he was doing a series, of 12[?], for CTT.
I don't think I have seen anything new so I guess it is his old layout.
Of course I could be wrong.

Well, could be, because in that bottom photo, looking up at the canopy, I had such a strong feeling, as I walked farther and farther into that stand of trees, part of a huge forest that spread as far as I could see in all directions from there, and well beyond that, I was being watched. It felt more like "stalked." The impression was so strong that I felt compelled to exit, which I did. Later, a conference with local farmers informed me that the entire forest (north of Cortland) was populated by large populations of deer, bear, and boar.
Since then, I have been back to the same vista, but have elected to do my observations and "forest bathing" (in Japanese: "Shinrin-Yoku") from the security of my SUV , with AC off and all windows and roof wide open.

Frank, truth be told, I think I would rather be watched by the NSA using this...
