They make me laugh?

The former is just silly and full of lines and scenes that parody Kung-fu movies, etc. and Kurt Russell does a great job in carrying off his character.

Buckaroo Banzai? Just a cult classic once again full of great lines and characters - one of the greatest over the top performances ever by John Lithgow as Dr. Emilio Lizardo/Lord John Worfin

Laugh a while you can, monkey-boy!

The Red Lectroids: Planet Ten!
Lord John Whorfin: When?
The Red Lectroids: Real soon!

I always enjoyed the "Land of Gorch" on SNL. Some really funny stuff there!

Sparkling Muscatel, Idaho's finest wine. Would you like to smell the bottle cap?

Come on down to Doc Hopper's for some frog legs!

Rufus,
Is that Muscatel quote from "The Land of Gorch", a movie unknown to me?
"Doc Hoppers" also?

Interesting. I did watch SNL for a while back then but got bored with it.
I don't remember seeing any Gorch stuff. I must not have been impressed.
That is a bit odd because I always watched the Muppet Show. Loved it. :? :? :( :(

SNL, during the 1st year and maybe part of the 2nd year had segments that resembled Gorch and maybe it was. Fraggle Rock was a spin off for the children and so were the Muppets. Believe all from the imagination of Jim Hensley.
