The local radio station gave all the warning signs of a potential heart attack from shoveling snow. Followed by call 911 if you have 2 or more lasting symptoms. I'm sure the ambulance will zip right out in 24" of snow. I've concluded it makes better sense not to shovel snow at all

Murph,

I am sure you will do the right thing and all will go well but when it is over get home quickly.
Good luck or whatever it takes.

Murph - According to NOAA northern Jersey is slated for 6-10 inches with high winds, starting sometime early Saturday. Sounds managable if the road-crews stay after it.

What kinda supper is it? Maybe I'll come up, lol.

Well, OPM has the Gov't closing at 12 pm.......and here I am in my office........again.

And, the radio has the snow arriving ~ 10 am instead of 3-5 pm.......

Used to be these storms were like waiting for the Man....

Did you know that if you put your ear up to a stranger’s leg you can hear them say, “What the F’k are you doing?”

Ah, Miami...haven't been down there in twenty years. The last time I was there on business a buddy and I nearly got into a brawl in the airport bar because the bartender didn't appreciate our not being able to speak Spanish. He ignored us so my buddy stuck a twenty dollar bill on his forehead and yelled "What do you have to do to get a beer in this dump?" It got real ugly after that...

Enjoy the warm weather.

Most important first words to learn in Spanish. Tu no habla tu no mas trabdo acqui!!
Spent 7 years grooming race horses, for tax purposes animal handler in the entertainment industry. you could spend ten minutes staring into blank expressionless face explaining, and say that suddenly help that has played dumb for weeks, now speaks better English than you do.
I work construction so now I get to play dumb, roles reversed, when espousa shows with lunch at job site I'm suddenly fluent. Love me some Mexican food and chilies and on an on.

You guys in the snow---let us know your status when possible.

The local train show is tomorrow and Sunday in Savannah and I will attend. I have missed only one in it's existence.
Temperature is to be upper 30s to lower 40s. I know that is balmy to you guys up north but this is frigid for this area.
I don't think it has ever been this cold for the show. Snow flurries are even forecast.

At 0600 it looks like we have about a foot on the ground...tough to tell as it's blowing around quite a bit. Still coming down at a pretty good clip. This must be what it feels like to live in Wisconsin or Minnesota...
