Daisy,

Thank you for the bark image. Looks like black cherry bark, but the leaves... the leaves and leaflets are so mysterious. Anyway, if I ever find leaves and leaflets matching your tree I can use the bark image to verify a hit.

Well, since you asked, The Horn seems a stout-hearted fellow, healthy and well-focused. Yet, I see the twinkle of a sense of humor in those eyes, all of which would happily qualify him as a person nice to know, o' course.

P.S. What qualifies me to say so? I had any number of students similar to him, in gaze, focus, and stature, and they all became fiercely protective and laudatory of this teacher, suffering no nonsense from any would-be hooligans who might have wanted to interfere w/ progress. Yup. I like him. Concerned? No; rather, laudatory.

Hi Dirt (I still have a hard time calling you that) and thank you for believing in me

Daisy, call me Pete, call me Ishmael, call me anything your heart desires, and I'll be proud. You have Pete-using privileges, sister.

I don't use 'Dirt" because I insist on it- I use it is because Hev named me that, and I love that guy, and it's the first nickname I've ever had in my life, and as I strive for simplicity (doesn't get more 'simple' than me) and for humility (which I don't always achieve, but I try), 'dirtman' kinda works well for both.

You're always in your rears, Dirtman!

So Tramp, what did somebody welch on, merchandise or services? It's one thing if somebody suffers a financial shortfall, but to just plain ignore a debt when ya owe somebody is despicable! Send 'ol Bruno to talk to them!

It is reminiscent of a black cherry; what color are the flowers?

I was starting to think about some sort of chokeberry or chokecherry variant, but the hybridization or perhaps even grafted aspect is really throwing us an unknown variable

I can't tell from the photo if Tramp's mystery is grafted or not. In the view of the whole tree all the leaves look the same, so we are saved from having to identify more than one tree in a tree.

Comments on the most unexciting cherry tree video in the world: I just ordered a 3-in-1 cherry today. It's comprised of Bings, Montmorencys and Golden Napoleons. I'm so excited!

No concern here. Never backed down from a bar fight and never will.

Daisy, dear Daisy:

Look at some of the versions of elderberry; They seem to come in both smooth edge and serrated edge leaves. It looks rather familiar to my eye...

Tramp mate;

I'm sorry to hear someone "stiffed" you.

As to whether your mate would intimidate, I'm sure he would to someone already possessing a shred of guilt, since he would know why your lad was calling.

Me, though? I'm with Jon. After surviving a military career involving the odd hostile group of people with hardware and serious weeds up their arse, this one guy would be a bump (perhaps a painful one) in the road.

The 1st Sgt's creed: Age and treachery will overcome youth and skill.

Jon, mate:

You have to come up and see us. Maybe there's one more good barfight in the both of us, just to do it one last time. I'll bring my cane, but you might want to leave your teeth in the car...

Don't worry, jw. I think you'll find that Jon is extremely well armed!

As for me, I don't mind a knot on my head, a black eye, or a busted knuckle, but damn!!!, I hate a busted lip or when my jaw gets knocked crooked for a few days!

Tryin' to get your coffee down with a busted lip really sucks.

The Twitchers are the result of the Necromorph infection converting the corpses of people who were equipped with Stasis modules (such as soldiers or security personnel). They are physically similar to Slashers in most respects, but they can move fast, really fast.
