That would only apply were they unable to turn right,

And where's the bigman been for awhile. I've sent him a couple e-mails over the last 10 days or so, and no replies. Hope all is well in Leola?

Quite a picture.

I am not familiar with this area. What do we have here?

I see tracks of some kind in the roadway, the lower bridge with the train and the upper bridge that seems to have been electrified at some time.

What is/was what?

I did, almost, but you know what "they say" about assumptions. And out of respect, I sure didn't want to assume no offense had been taken. Any-ol-ways, ya'had me goin' there for a moment, actually making me speechless; that is, I tried to say something clever and witty but nothing came to mind. I tried again. Still nothing. I didn't want to sound flippant, so I thought it best to shut up.

Sorry I couldn't get back to this sooner, Tramp, but I was real, real busy crafting for the upcoming TCA Meet at York and didn't have much time for forums.

Glad you were kidding.

Obviously, the Jersey Central in the lead, but is that a standard NS M2 behind?

So now we know why the troops on hand near Bengazi were ordered to stand down, and why General Hamn, when he decided to disobey orders and go to the rescue, was relieved of his command within 30 seconds of making the decision. Somebody pretty high up wanted that attack to succeed, but I'll leave it to you to figure out who it was.

That video is bull pucky. I put it in my box of lies a long time ago.

It was United States Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta who ordered General Carter Ham (not Hamn) to stand down. Former House speaker Newt Gingrich appeared on ABC News and suggested that Panetta may have disobeyed Obama's direct order to send in military help to the American consulate in Libya. You can watch the interview on this YouTube video. http://youtu.be/3A7QawluxdA

The White House claims General Ham's departure is part of routine succession planning that has been ongoing since July.

I listen to the above statements and put them in my "Truth or Lie Unknown" box.

People believe what they want to believe and more often than not desire to believe the worse possible about everything; just watch the nightly news broadcasts on any US network.

I stopped listening to radio other than to get the traffic and weather reports; back to music asap.

It would be no fun if it were otherwise. I am reminded of the time a friend told me the Moon appears larger on the horizon due to atmospheric refraction magnifying it. I told him it was an illusion created in the brain and in fact the Moon appears larger overhead than on the horizon because it is a half Earth diameter closer overhead. His argument started with, "Everybody knows..." (How many times I have heard that?) My response was, "Everybody is wrong."

We went outside at sunset with a Wild Theodolite and measured the Moon diameter, Angle Moon Rise: 0° 32' 56"

At midnight we went out and measured the Moon diameter again, Angle Midnight: 0° 33' 33"

Next evening I overheard my friend telling people we had measured the Moon and proved atmospheric refraction is what makes it appear larger at moonrise. I pulled him aside and showed him the notes we had taken the night before. His response was, "We must have transposed the numbers." I decided he deserved to keep his wrong beliefs and let it go.

That's a wonderful story, Wayne. When we meet blockheads like that, is there anything one can possibly say? My usual impulse is to flee; avoid; pity; spewchunks. Does that make me a bad  person? Eh?Huh? Wha'?   :!: :?:  :|
