Well, now, pencentral885, Jon's pappy just slaughters a hog when those revenuers are about to make an appearance, and they usually just mind their own business rather than intrude.

Judging from the picture I would say:
a: They don't know what a chair is.

b: Sitting in a chair, eating in the middle of the forest, could invite critters to some really sensitive areas of you body.

c: They burned the chairs to cook the pig.

I'm VERY tempted to bid on this engine, but common sense is holding me back with this guys comment:
I AM NOT A train COLLECTOR & know little about the trains I list.EVERYTHING I SELL ON eBAY is sold (AS IS,NO RETURN.)

I think that's a hell of alot of money for an item that may be damaged or not even running. What do think?

Jon,

Heck of a risk. You could have two more Bachman Shays for that money from a mail order house with a return policy.

2 days left of a 5 day auction. Hummm. Stay away.

There are a whole lot of possibilities as to why he would want to do business that way, and most of them involve hosing the customer. If he really is auctioning off the inventory from a little old man who only drove his trains to church on Sunday, then there is likely to be much more inventory in the pipeline and he needs to hook up with a local train guy to evaluate the goods. Pay that guy a small fee to test each train and determine its state. Otherwise, he is using ignorance as a way to get top dollar on each item, at the buyers expense, regardless of the state of the item.

My advice, "walk, no run as quickly as you can away from this auction".

Jon, the price is too high. Those engines didn't sell well.

Thanks for the input guys. It is one sweet engine though!!! Those drivers are killer.
Tramp, I'll call Gary tomorrow, but I thought those engines sold out in about a month.
