I work for the US Gov't and have been informed that I am lazy, incompetent, and grossly overpaid; consequently, I have no sense of humor that I am aware of.

But there are some side benefits --> I do understand that our cafeteria has Soylent Green back on the menu again; Yum!

As much as Burns appeals to a segment of my heritage; I am more likely to enjoy the works of Poe, Blake, Baudelaire, and even Kipling (although I've never kippled, ), although I could recite Lydia the Tattooed Lady for you, if pressed (preferably by several well-endowed young ladies, please).

Now, there's something I can identify with.

...and of the musings of the Walrus...

Of shoes and ships and sealing wax,
cabbages and Kings.
And why the seas are boiling hot
and whether pigs have wings.

So, who do those poor silly Oysters represent?

In the last YouTube, right at the end, one gets a glimps of Sarge in a theater box.

Thank you Jon and Capt. Turk for the link to these very interesting videos.

What happened to France? The government took over (socialism) to save everyone from themselves. It did not work.

Now France is in the midst of transition from extensive government ownership and intervention to one that relies more on market mechanisms. The government has partially or fully privatized many large companies, banks, and insurers, and has ceded stakes in such leading firms as Air France, France Telecom, Renault, and Thales. Maybe France can make a come-back while the United States tries the old French method of government.

Here is another French video showing Steam Engineers learning the ways of Diesel Locomotives.

Andre,

I don't know French either. However, many English words come from French. Many English and French words derive from the same Latin words. Also I worked with a few French speaking Canadians and got used to the accent. I can catch enough to understand what is going on. You may have an advantage with Spanish as your first language (Latin language) I don't know. I suggest you turn the sound off, then it will not distract from the rather interesting videos.

Hope you feel well tomorrow.
