High noon on the PRR. It's middle of July hot, about 98 degrees hot, with steam and cinders falling everywhere. And the engineer is hung over to boot. Could it get any worse?

THAT is some engine. Hey, Jon, I just sent you an email. Tell the engineer to pop a fresh Stella Artois. Though it has that rotten word in the name, it's a wonderful beer.

Jon, the trucks, chain, couplers, and brake wheel were store bought. I love that outside brake chain. Lettering was by hand--obviously. The red (reader) head seems to like the caboose. Photos by D.

Tramp, I'm guessing that's real wood on the gon, but HOW did you get the weathered look to it????????????????????????????????
And to be fair, I would love to post a photo of the caboose a little closer to check out it's detail. :D

I jumped out of bed this morning and told my wife I was going to knock out 18 holes of golf. Then my wife reminded me that I don't play golf. Life is funny sometimes. :D

Golf? With that tiny white ball? I've heard of it. I just took my Ducati out for a ride. No registration, no insurance, so I said I'd go slow. And I did. I only broke a 100 about 4 times.

Tramp, Hitting 100mph a couple of times in the early morning is always deserving of a noon brew!!!! When do we get a shot of "D" stretched out on the Duc? :D

Jon, I built that engine in the late seventies. It's highly over-weathered in my opinion these days, but I was really into weathering back then. I believe the wood on the gon was done with acrylic washes. Since I painted in acrylic then, that's what I had around. HOn3 is so damn tiny.

Beer?

I think a certain fellow 'bo who's been nailing cedar planks to marine life, should bestow some pictures of his new Lionel passenger cars for us.....
