Thanks, Jonny-boy! I was sucking-thirsty. That was great, for a start!

Killer-view from the hayloft. I'll e-mail you a pic, if you can set 'er up here.

Ah.

“Neal, it’s the best time in the world after haying. You’re all sore and tired, sitting back on the porch with everyone, dogs curled up, a breeze coming up from the river, the mountains all sunsetty. I think that’s how I got my taste for beer, drinking beer after haying. Jesus, it tasted so damn good.”

Sorry. Couldn't help it.

Pete, did you know I did a painting of a hayloft in 1973? Sold it for 800 bucks, too. Lot of money for a kid.

Tramp, I think you're still a kid at heart. It's the best way to be. Long live our childhoods. What was real and what we envisioned it to be. Blustery Fall days, Winter sledding, Summer breezes on a grassy knoll. Cheers.

I'm forced to try and write about it, but Pete lives it.

Jon,

Yipes! You went to a lot of trouble, and I appreciate it. I thought you were only going to put that last one up, here, which was the view from the hayloft.

What I meant with the two with the biker, where I said 'this was your future', was to prepare you for what you face with your own son: him heading out down the road by himself, someday, and him throwing himself into something dangerous. That was Aaron's first 'airborne', and I was more nervous than he possibly could have been. I should have trusted him, the way he bombs around the property here.

Pete, You could'nt have put it any better. My son likes to sit behind the wheel of my truck and pretend he's driving. The other day he was "driving" again and he looked out the window and waived bye-bye. And man, it just hit me like a ton of bricks. Someday he'll be waiving good-bye for real. I hope he stays young with me for a very long time.
It's always a pleasure to post your pictures, Pete. Send 'em anytime. I would love to post the one's Tramp sends, but they're WAAAY to kinky for even this place. Yike's!
