Dirt, Yep they're A-10 Warthogs for sure. When I met you and Hev at Indian Town Gap I could hear them strafing a target range over the next hill with their 30MM gatling guns. Talk about tearing up some gopher holes!! I didn't see any land there, so I'm guessing there's a base somewhere around you for sure!

Have ya ever seen a situation where you couldn't get a lawyer to take a case. I'd really like to sue Comcast for about $1,000,000, but can't seem to find a law firm that specializes in companies that ruin individual credit.

3 years ago, Comcast sent out 2 bills to the same person, (supposedly), but at 2 different addresses. The bill was for $58. The bill was for a person with the same name as mine, in the same town, but at an address 2 miles away. I told the people at Comcast that I never lived at that address, and have lived here for 30 years. They agreed. I told the people at Comcast that I've never (ever) been late on a cable bill, (or any other bill), in my life. They agreed that my cable bill was always paid either on time, or before the due date. So, I asked why, in view of this, would they send me a bill and expect me to pay it simply because someone else has the same name. They replied that since they didn't know which person was responsible for the bill, they sent bills to both addresses of the addressees. So I told them I had no intention of paying a bill that they freely admit does not belong to me, and they said they'd take care of it, but I got another bill for the overdue $58. After about 5 phone calls to Comcast, I thought that the matter was cleared up, 'cause I later learned that the bogus bill had been paid by the true intended addressee one month later. So, now the bill was paid, but they still wanted me to pay the fucker again. I'm losin' it, so one more phone call to Comcast and the promise of "we'll take care of it", and I think I'm out of the woods.

I just applied to refinance my Home Equity Loan for a cheaper rate, and the bank shot me down, 'cause my credit rating has dropped from 780 to 640! The culprit,..... Comcast!! All three of the major credit companies have me knocked down to 640.

I spent a lifetime buildin' a good credit situation, I've never been late or failed to pay any bill in my life, I paid my mortgage off 7 years early, and now I'm damned near ruined by a company that wants me to pay a bill that they've freely admitted is not mine.

Just where are all these ambulance chasers we hear about?

I didn't leave there till I knew that everything was clear................... I think I scared the shit out of them cause I was really pissed off. I just git so damn tired of people pkuckin' with me with there head games.............

Yeah I get tired about their telephone crap too. Seams every time I call them they ask for my phone number and they tell me that's not what they have listed. I tell them its the same number that I have had for umpteen years and I am getting tired of this crap. They tell me to go to the local office but I asked for customer service and Its supposed to be fixed now, Until the next time.

Yes Mitch, frequently. Hev is exactly correct, speaking to a supervisor in person works better than speaking to lazy employees.

For example: A few years ago I received a dunning letter from the State of Arizona stating that I owed $14,000 more income tax than I had paid. I went downtown to the state building and showed the person who waited on me that the state had misplaced a decimal place. I owed $1,500, not $15,000. I was told, "O.K. We will fix it." The third time I went down there, hot under the collar, I told her, "This is the third time you have told me that you would, "fix it.'" I do not believe you anymore. I want to talk to your supervisor. The poor supervisor took the brunt of my anger, then took me into another room and let me watch her change my record in the state's computer system. That worked, I never heard from them again.

There seems to be no end to these kind of "lazy employee" problems. Currently we are trying to get medicare to pay their part of my wife's doctor visit in January. Our secondary insurance sent a bill saying they did not pay because medicare did not pay and they "insurance" cannot pay until the see what medicare pays. Medicare told me that they could not talk to me because I am not Mary. Then they told my wife that they could not pay until they see what our medical insurance pays. She got that straightened out (medicare is primary) yet, when the doctor resubmitted, medicare refused to pay again. The lazy employee at medicare did not change my wife's record to show that her medical insurance is "secondary."

I think I need an avatar that says, "I see lazy people everywhere."

In your case, you have to get the credit rating companies to fix your record. Good luck with that. You have the same situation that my wife and I have with medicare and our medical insurance. The credit rating companies cannot fix your record until after the cable company clears you of bad dept and they (cable company) are too lazy to fix it. This could take years.

Keep in mind that I have not been on this thread since page 10 or maybe 30 and when I clicked on the last page (1163) Dennis B says “You can write a letter to the credit reporting agencies disputing the charge. The letter becomes part of your file. Not the best solution but it is better than waiting for Comcast to finally correct the problem.”

In 25 words or less can anyone explain how we got from drunkin Hobos to here?

In Addition, Hobos …..classic Hobos……would sooner know their front from rear, which is to say look forward…..

Forgive me for asking.

No problem Jim.

Sometimes a Hobo has to work. That is where the problems start. Then, its back to the Hobo Jungle with tales of woe.

JimTT,
