I FINALLY GOT MY LIONEL L2a Mohawk! - 950.00 on ebay last night, with the paperwork and shipping carton. It'll be going with me on a layout shoot for Classic Toy Trains in two weeks to get its legs stretched for the first time.

Enjoyed the snake threads as I caught up my reading this morning - I did a lot of venomous snake photography a few years back at a lab in Kentucky. Out on the lawn with diamondbacks, king cobras, African vipers, etc - but Jon, I NEVER took any mamba photos without glass between me and the mamba... They truly scare the SH*T out of me...

San, that thing is pretty roomy in the back, right? I've got a chance to get one from Enterprise for a week-long photo shoot later this month, but I will need to be able to pack two large camera outfits plus a four-fold ladder into the back. I normally get a truck, but I wanted to put some road miles on one of these things to see if I like it (probably won't be a Hemi, though). I can fold the back seat down. What do you think?

The split rear seats fold absolutely flat, one at a time or together. The only problem is vertical clearance, although the hatch does cut into the roof. I did manage to bring home a new 27" TV in the box from Costco . If you like, I can measure the horizontal distance from the back of the rear seat to the tail gate to see about your ladder. The Dodge site gives interior capacity in terms of cubic feet, not dimension.

The ladder is 42" x 14" x 12" and needs to be stored on the 14" base side due to the bolt-on bracket.

I don't think that will be a problem. I bring home 48" x 24" sheets of plywood all the time. I could insert one with the plane of the wood (24" high) perpendicular to the horizontal without any problem.
