Yes, hospitals 100 years ago used to be the brief stop over before heading over to the funeral home.

Usually human stupidity and it was usually correct. Poor maintenance, inadequate designs, poor construction, etc. The usual suspects.

BTW, the Texas power grid collapse was not caused by climate change but by the refusal to acknowledge that the grid needed work after the 2011 storms, aka stupidity! The main focus AFTER the 2020 failures that resulted in deaths has been to shift the blame and cover their *'s rather than actually fix anything.

Human stupidity. Same as those folks that build in flood plains, along ocean shorelines in hurricane pathways, and below mudslide zones.
