From what I've seen, read and heard of lately, this woman is not alone. Much higher percentage of idiots today than in the past or maybe just better news coverage. But, IIRC, in the old days, most idiots would be too embarrassed to bring attention to their own stupidity, now they all want to blame someone else.

Facebook (I'm not a member) is full of this crap. I guess even if you have the intelligence of an amoeba, you don't mind sharing it with the world, if it means you get your 15 minutes of fame.

The real problem is the crooked attorneys. Stupid couldn't be awarded anything if crooked attorneys didn't take the case and fight for them. Attorneys are the source of much evil in this country. And because they grow up to become judges, politicians and worse, we're in serious trouble.

And the jury is not the problem? A dim group of sheep as dim as the court and lawyers can find and manipulate

For sure, as they must all hope they''ll have a chance at the brass ring. But if these suits didn't wind up in court, juries would not even be a consideration.

My guess is that Gorilla will settle before going to court. Couple of million maybe.
There will probably be a non disclosure clause but she will need to brag about her payoff.

Maybe.......we keep calling for term limits and then the incumbents generally get re-elected so either we only think that the incumbents other than our own are the problems or there's just not enough choices available at all.

It would be nice to see them get booted at 65 too. No need for 80+ year old politicians to still be involved in the process, know matter how sharp they think they are.

What about the age of the voters. The voting age was lowered to 18 "because that age group gets sent to war" was one argument to allow them to vote.
I have heard from some, usually young, that there should be an age limit for voters.
Term limits, age limits would be a starting place and we could work up to other stuff and eventually have a single criteria for our rulers.
Most money. Least money. Highest, lowest, most average IQ, Longest hair. ETC> Yeah, I am trying to be inane.
Many disagree but IMHO, if it's not broke don't fix it. Maybe dump some arbitrary and old laws but the CONSTITUTION doesn't need to be changed.
Of course I just may be one of those in the title of this topic.

Oh yes. If we have a bunch of young people running things there needs to be some balance and experience from the older persons.
I am 86 and I do NOT think I should be an elected official but that is up to the electors.

Yes it is. I tried For first district congress (bucks county) I had enough signatures to be placed on the ballot But no votes from the previous election. I would need 12,000 voted from 2018. In order to get an invite. You need 10 percentage of last elections second place . You can't get an invite before your second campaign.
