As far as I know, nobody said the Girl's train looks like a CB&Q 2-10-4. If they did, please forgive me.

Someone absolutely said the Pennsy/C&O Texas or whatever that engine is, looks close to the CB&Q 2-10-4 prototype relative to this topic.

Curious minds want to know if the Pennsy/C&O Texas model looks close to a CB&Q 2-10-4 prototype.

No, but the Girls loco is a dead ringer! (depending on how much Jack Daniels you've had).

Does it make any difference how many rails the track has on which it operates?
Of course the tongue is in the cheek.    :) :)

I support thread drift.

No. But it's why I went to GarGraves Phantom Rail over 35 years ago.

Rounded tubular rails were not as big a deal to me as three ties per section.
Another "plus" was traction, friction....Lionel is round top rail, single small point contact.
GarGraves is flat top ado a wider contact.

Makes a difference.
Dave....gone by invitation

My only comment in regard to that is that it would be nice if they that were doing the choosing knew all the options/possibilities.

Might be better if they cared.

You set mighty high standards

I did use the word "might" and I know I have unrealistic expectations. Been told that for decades......back when I asked at the office why people don't do their jobs and why no action was taken when they did not.
