About 2 1/2 rolls over 20 years?

I was referring to the dry wall chips - curious about that reference point

None directly but I did get a couple of "tastes" of plaster doing drywall work when I had my dust mask down. I'm now pretty religious about the mask and nitrile gloves.

Yes, I've never found the taste of plaster attractive........

If you could, what would be the best advice you would give to your younger self?

How much younger?

One word ........ Plastics.

Seriously

Family is number one (and actually number two and three). You can get another job, another house, another car, all sorts of material things that are replaceable. People are not, especially the people you are closest to.

In my case it would be to stop smoking or never start.
I haven't had health problems that were threatening caused by smoking but spent a lot of money on cigarettes.
Where I came from everybody smoked. I really can't think of any friends or their parents that did not.
That also includes all of the females. I'm sure there were exceptions to my "everybody" that I've forgotten.

I also should have put out a little more effort in high school. Never studied.

I was 20 and wife was 19 when we married. I can't advise against that because that did change my life.

I support thread drift.

That is critical. I should not have been born.

Yes you should have, Roy. I am sure you have given many people much joy , all along the way. You have a unique personality, and I suspect, are probably pretty darn good-looking. Be happy. Give happiness. Give others help. And accept help and friendship offered by others.

You should be required to watch "It's a wonderful LIFE" as many times as it takes to alter your attitude.

I never smoked. Couldn't stand the smell from a young age. Never would date a girl that smoked.

My dad smoked but my brother never smoked either and he was in the navy during WW2 when the military gave the cigs to everyone that wanted them. My brother was 96 when he died last year.

Are there any movies effective about getting joy thru helping others and giving others joy?

Interesting as that was the path that I followed. Started in aircraft as a plastic fabricator and ended at Boeing as a manufacturing engineer in advanced composites. There are a lot of twist and turns in life. Started Jr Collage as a science major on the path to be a marine biologist.

Hondo, given your career history, do you have a view on the current fuss over plastic straws and the islands of plastic refuse floating on our oceans, apparently indestructible and non-degradable, filling the bellies of unsuspecting birds and sea life?
