Actually a novella originally published in '38.

.....to propagate and use humans - our blood - as nursery food.

There are countless stories that employ that aspect - a common theme that resonates with a self-aware species that might find itself as a food source.

Well, as I said, it scared the popcorn out of us.

1st Pet Sematary was a total hack job; only redeeming feature was the title song being done by the Ramones. Ok, maybe King showing up in it doing a cameo a la Hitchcock was amusing.....

Which remake of IT? There's been 3 versions now.

The last one....

Yes, rather good, but I still like Curry's performance.....

You just reminded me of an episode on Thriller (?) or was it Twilight Zone (?) decades ago, which was entitled, "Serving Humanity," I believe, which turned out to be not beings coming here to be servile, but traveling here with a Cookbook (!) and taking an ark of humans aboard for a trip to a kitchen far, far away.

I read once decades ago that human flesh is 40 calories a bite. I suppose that would also depend on what location the bite is taken from.

Twilight Zone, "To Serve Man". Featured Lloyd Bochner and Richard Keil (aka Jaws). great parody on one of the Simpson's Halloween episodes.

It was The Twilight Zone, "To Serve Man". Also, are we talking Kodos the Klingon, or Kodos the Executioner?

Neither - Kodos is one of the 2 aliens that show up on The Simpsons

One of my favorite War movies in "Midway" Just saw that they are going to do a remake. The battle for Midway 6 months after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor resulted in 4 Japanese aircraft carriers being sunk and changed the course of the war that put Japan on defense.

The new "Midway" -- a remake of the 1976 version starring, among others, Henry Fonda -- this time will have Woody Harrelson in the role of Adm. Chester Nimitz, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Mandy Moore, Luke Evans and Patrick Wilson are also part of the cast, according to entertainment media. Wilson is expected to play Pearl Harbor intelligence officer Edwin Layton, who predicted when the Japanese would be in the vicinity of Midway Atoll on June 4, 1942.

This seems to be a really big trend now to remake movies and tv shows.
Why? Probably because computer stuff can make it more "realistic".
Is new information available about the Midway battle? Or will only the names of the stars be changed?
I guess new actors will get new audiences. Why else remake Hawaii 50, McGiver etal.?
