Actually all that stuff in the picture is appropriate for girls that want to be a pirate and pretend to be Keira Knightly in pirates of the Caribbean.

Disney announced it will be making some changes to its "Pirates of the Caribbean" ride. The most significant of those changes will be doing away with the "bride auction" that appears partway through the ride.

The ride opened at Disneyland in 1967, when attitudes were different. Now, in 2017, Disney has announced that there will be some updates to the ride.

Like getting rid of a scene that shows a line of weeping women standing under a sign that says auction, take a wench for a bride.

The new scene will feature a female pirate auctioning off stolen gold and jewelry.

In the 1990s, Disney changed a scene that showed pirates chasing women around a building. They just simply changed the tone of it by having the women be carrying food. And so instead of the sexual urge it was more a gluttony urge that was sort of motivating these pirates to be chasing the women.

I always enjoy reading your perspective on things, HONDO. Your particular knowledge on various matters augments and/or informs what I may have already known, or may not have known at all, which is enjoyable for me to experience :D

..........and, that neatly encapsulates why I don't go to Disneyland any more.
That and the insane admission prices
And the crowds. I was there on the day (second in Disneyland history) where they closed the park because of the crowd.
These days, to get my barely discernable theme park fix, I go to Knotts.

Did you know nobody dies in dismal land ? Emts want pronounce a person dead there. They drive your body outside of the gates to another location. Then mark the time of death and location. A little town outside of Disney has no residence and a high death rate.

Kindergartner suspended for 10 days after bringing Melatonin pill to school

http://wtkr.com/2018/01/25/kindergartner-suspended-for-10-days-after-bringing-melatonin-pill-to-school/

Actually...he wasn't suspended for bringing it to school, he was suspended for "distribution of a drug" when he gave it to a girl in his class.

I swear, if it wasn't for the little bit of fellowship I get on a couple of forums I'd quite the internet. World has gone to hell in a handbasket full of internet links

HA! maybe I just need to change my homepage (like here instead of to the news) when I log on

That's just nerves showing being so close to the pirate gal.

Of course, Maureen O'Hara could swash my buckle (or is that buckle my swash?) anytime:

A little better. At least she knew she was a cheap imitation. I appreciate some candor.

From what has been mentioned and implied on TV, my wife is developing the viewpoint that there is an ever-growing rift between The First Lady and the President.

My only opinion in regards to her is that it has seemed she has not been terribly interested in the position, all along, which makes me wonder if my wife is right about the relationship between them.

The picture posted above made me think of the First Couple-plus-one, but picturing the President in the middle, with Melania and some other gal on the other side, ostensibly, except that they the President and the First Lady, do not appear to hold-hands at times.
