Cut the crrap. It be the naysayers that could have discouraged invention of the telephone and hydroelectric power, not to mention air conditioning and anesthesia and surgeons washing there hands after they got off their horses and entered the operating theaters, for example!

Check out a lopifit walking electric bicycle. I can't post a link with my phone. They look like a great city option.

Windmills tend to leave bird and bat carcasses under the area their blades traverse. This leads to a rise in the local population of coyotes, feral cats, raccoons, skunks and rats.

Fire departments have found that solar panels continue to produce power when the structure under them is on fire and are restricting the efforts of their crews when solar panels are present.

Dams with water wheels and turbine powered generators have been the source of power for over 2000 years. Lately we've been removing them to restore local fish populations.

I vaguely remember that there was a movement to build nuclear reactors that used a less toxic element (Thorium?) than the Uranium or Plutonium common today.
You begin flying with a full bag of luck and an empty bag for experience. The object is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

At least you will know where they are congregating and then can actually respond - coyotes are on the rise, but cats and the rest are prey.....

I keep hearing that but they still seem to have no problem with buildings that are on fire and the power is still flowing in from the pole....but then my place is rural and when the fire department wants directions to the fire, they get told, "look for the glow".

Dams with water wheels and turbine powered generators have been the source of power for over 2000 years. Lately we've been removing them to restore local fish populations.

I thought they had been installing ladders for the fish? Can't take some out - both flood control and water supply.....

I vaguely remember that there was a movement to build nuclear reactors that used a less toxic element (Thorium?) than the Uranium or Plutonium common today.

Not so much a tox thing with LE materials and Th as much a reactor that did not use fuel that could used for weapons or could be used to produce weapons grade products... Thing is that causes the US the big issue is that we do not recycle our fuel and just store it - it could be recycled with ~90-95% efficiency - the rest of the world does just that while we plod along.....
