That PRR 4-8-2 could very well be a Joe Dorazio model. I recall he did both O and HO and had a published set price list depending upon wheel arrangement. To me, his belpaire boiler treatment was slightly exaggerated from the prototype and your model has that look to it.

I agree with Bob and Bob. Saw an M-1 run at D'Orazio's once upon a time. Wonderful hog, maybe the brasswork was a little crude....

I had forgotten how Joe spelled his last name. Thanks for the correction. I found your comment about the brasswork interesting since, as I recall, Joe's work was "heavy duty" but lacked any detail. Appliances such as turbo generator and headlight were basic brass turnings.

As I recall, Joe's mechanism drivers ran in ball bearings. Perhaps brother Turner can look at his and confirm.
I particularly remember the cab on his M-1. Disappointing. I guess if I had the money I would have bought a mechanism and put a better superstructure on it. Best of both worlds.
Joe also used an old treadle sewing machine, suitably modified, to punch out his rivets. He demo'ed it for me. Impressive!

Not mine, and not here. Over the years I got to see Ferris, White, Corbin, Dorazio (excuse the spelling; I knew Dorazios in the Philly area) and others. Jim Seacrest was always having me do something - I think he was a full employment act. I tried to discourage him with incredibly high rates, and he always exceeded them.

I skipped Monday, and nobody noticed. I decided to load one more Mountain - special trip to Photobucket, which then hid it on page 3 of my Lobaugh photos.

Genuine Lobaugh from a pristine kit with even dead bottles of 1939 paint inside. I will finish it someday.

I tend to think of Mountains as brutes, but this one strikes me as being long and lanky in its proportions. As 2railjon used to say, large steam is hard not to love. Hmmm...now that I think about it, Jon hasn't posted in a long time. Hope all is well with him.

Not true. But, what is one to do - post a complaint? I can be patient - you will get to eventually when you are done flying.

I decided to load one more Mountain - special trip to Photobucket, which then hid it on page 3 of my Lobaugh photos.

I think I know why that happens - creation date of the photo file vs the display setting of the order for that Photobucket folder - might change the setting of the folder on "Order by" to "Recent" and see what happens.

I will finish it someday.

I look forward to seeing it finished.

Loco photos taken in 2009 at the layout of the late Bob Dupont in San Mateo CA during O Scale West. Loco is his KTM SP MT-3 by I think US Hobbies. He normally didn't run this model but kept it on a display shelf in the house. It has the blue-gray boiler jacket used by SP ca 1930, a paint scheme I admire. Bob was kind enough to bring it onto his garage layout so I could photograph it. Model looks grayish due to lighting.

Beginning in 1999, when attending O Scale West I often stayed with the late Bob Roach in Pacifica. Bob Roach usually brought me and other house guests on the Tuesday or Wednesday prior to OSW to the Duponts to set up two layout segments across the front of the garage to complete the oval of Bob Dupont's layout. Bob Roach passed away early in 2014 and Bob Dupont died ca April 2015, after the OSW meet that year. They were both fine gentlemen whom I regarded as great friends and miss them greatly.
