You mean I shouldn't use this!
Might want to get one of these:

Great for all sorts of uses and even when you do a bit of work on the side as an amateur dentist.
Best tool for Atlas couplers is more than likely this:

Rufus, your first pic reminds me of the time I showed up for a dental appointment and saw a set of farrier's tools on the little table next to the chair. Dr. Anne has a slightly warped sense of humor.
You begin flying with a full bag of luck and an empty bag for experience. The object is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

A little freight depot i started. I need to find a better way to bevel the inside corner edges.

8" of 2x4" with 60 grit paper wrapped & stapled to it and a 2nd one with 220 grit paper.

Robert.
That looks like a Gloor craft kit If it is I built one years ago they come up very nice have a good photo of it painted mine brown from memory had it on a portable layout while moving it once the module dropped on the ground and destroyed it at least I have the photo! Ha,Ha..
I built a few of those kits not all freight houses! To bevel the edges I would put the sheet on the edge of a flat bench and use a sanding block similar to what Marty said and carefully rub it down I tried making a jig up to keep the sander in line on the right angle but found it to awkward to use went back to the hand sanding.

I the did these walls on a made in china belt/disc sander. Brand spanking new to our shop. There is no way to keep the table locked at 45%. This machine lacks a nice positive lock on the table top. Plus the guide slot is not square to the disc face. I did all my sanding with the power off

That sounds like a return to vendor item to me.

Grizzly or Harbor Freight?
Re: 2 rail at last
Fastenal. After looking over the sander today and asking Who put it together. I found the problem. A few of my guys are from south of the boarder. Some of them have a hard time reading printed Spanish. Most of them speak and read K'iche'. The table is square. The motor is mounted out of square. That was an easy fix. I'll need to look into the positive lock on the table. Something is missing. If that something is not to heavy chances are is got thrown out with the box
One thing that is hard to do these days is go to a showroom and see these machines before you buy it. Everything is online.

upping the 2 rail post count before midnight. Here is a truck I had to unclog. Rock hard grease was not allowing the gears to turn. A 10 minute boil in ATF and the were good to go. Warm tranny fluid really cleans up gunk.

Looks..............................familiar!
I have 2 more of these, 1 still never unwrapped in the original Pittman box (collector's item, you know....), but the 1 I did unwrap - grease in it was solid rock hard. Took it to work and dropped it into 1/2 L of dichloromethane........

I must have rocks in my head. The other day some bright idea ran through my noggin to frame out the interior side of the doors and window. Then cover it with blue paper. Sure take a lot longer the i thought it would. Great way to hide wires
