Just remember: what horses consider play, monkeys consider business, but to Tom it’s all foolery.

But not without expectorations-Grin!
I'll never agree. To assume society and language allowed to change unguided, unchallenged, and unfettered is evolution is false. Neither changes for the better without guidance and vision. Otherwise they will change but as a matter of devolution.
History teaches that apathy is not justifiable if the betterment of humanity is desired. Vision gave us English Common Law, the American Experiment, the benefits of applied science. Apathy gave us Hitler.

I don't like many of the changes in our language but since dictionaries have accepted conversate
I just shrug and realize that soon I will not understand our language any more.

Awyes, and there we have the crux of it - those two extra syllables requiring too much effort (or is it bandwidth?) to say/type/remember. Eh? Huh? Wha' ?
(P.S. "demotivated ice cream." Wonderful use of the language and whole words!)
Re: Seen in Print
Twenty years from now I will most likely be dead and that might be good for me
because the way our language is changing I won't be able to communicate at all.
I have enough trouble now.
Egads. Froyo.

Now I am not going to google all of Roberts words cause I don't think I really care.
I can probably guess at a lot of them and understand enough.
My wording now is to younger writers similar to what my great grandfathers was to me.
As I said earlier twenty years from now I won't care.
