Happy Friday!

On vacation in Kiawah Island this week, so the trains are idle. I did manage to take a few shots before we left on Monday.

Took delivery of new B&O E units & some passenger cars to simulate the B&O Royal Blue run to Jersey City on the CNJ.

Sarge stopped by one day this week. Went down into the basement but we couldn't run anything because I still haven't resolved my power-supply issue from the flood back last Fall. Finally we said the hell with it and went for BBQ.

One of the things we talked about is this late Ives 3251 that's slowly making its way to the top of the project pile:

I bought it out of some guys junk bin at a local show...was surprised that it ran when I put power to it. I've accumulated a few parts for it so might be time to start working on it (after I get a replacement power supply or two). It's missing a door on the opposite side...kinda weird. I have a nice set of freights to throw behind it.

He dropped off this prewar set booklet he found at a local jumble sale:

Have never seen one of these before, and the Lionel logo is one I've never seen before either.

I sent Sarge home with a set of mint Williams Pennsy (pre-Bachmann) Madison-style passenger cars. I'm hoping he can use them or find 'em a good home...my O-42 curves are way too tight to handle them.

Howdy, We had some nice CSX action at Haley Tower in Terra Haute today. We saw 8 trains (not all photographed) in about 3 hours from
11:30 am to 2:30 pm. A great day to be out and watching trains. :)
