What kit or import ???

Saw this on EB today and since I have one just like it I purchased many moons ago, assemble, I was hoping someone on the forum would know the history. Mine is painted for the C&NW with RY trucks and I just thought it was cast aluminum, but I guess not. Interesting span bolster set-up.

They say it is Japanese, but to me looks a bit like a kit offered by Carl Auel (now owned by daughter Jeanine Gatch). It was covered in one of the mags (I think O Scale News). A nice looking car.

The Auel kit is Zamac, not brass. And it came w/o trucks and is also 17/64'ths

I remember reading in a back issue of OST among the classifieds ads where a person was looking for Robert Parri's molds (I think that was the term used) and Ms Gatch was offering them for sale. I wonder if they ever hooked up?

Max Gray imported this car many years ago. I have one in my collection lettered with decals for Westinghouse. The trucks on the model shown are early KTM with brass wheel sets. I believe mine has All Nation trucks.

Thanks Joe and great news. I thought it was an Auel cast cars under the paint when I bought it. The span bolster is pretty basic otherwise the car is very nice.
