Thank you Sir, for the correction!
It has been taken under seroius advisement, and a operations plan is currently in effect.
I see a search-and-destroy mission coming up on several various brands. I must replace my now gone Rolling Rock!

Great pic, Jon.

Somewhere, I have the whole Phoebe Snow poem. I'll have to try and dig it up.

I'll raise a beer with you bud, 'long as we toast the hobos.

Jon, I've got a guestion for you. Look closely at that switch-hitter, I mean switch-thrower, and tell me if you think he's really dreaming about Miss Snow. Give him a careful look in the eyes, okay?

I'll raise a beer to this hobo too...

THE ROAD NOT TAKEN
Two roads diverged in a yellow field,
And sorry he could not travel both
And be one traveler, long he stood
And looked down one as far as he could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy, and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, he kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
He doubted if he should ever come back.
He shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a field, and he-
he took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Here's a great Irish drinking song by none other then : Dennis Leary!!! It's worth downloading!!!!

Traditional Irish Folk Song

They come over here
And they take all our land
They chop off our heads
And they boil them in oil
Our children are leaving
And we have no heads
We drink and we sing
And we drink and we die

We have no heads
We have no heads

They come over here
And they chop off our legs
They cut off our hands
And put nails in our eyes
O'Grady is dead
And O'Hanrahan's gone
We drink and we die
And continue to drink

O'Hanrahan
No O'Hanrahan

They buried O'Neil
Down in country Shillhame
The poor children crying
And fe dee din de
Hin fle di dinfle
Di din fle de din de
In hey bibble bibble
Hey bibble bibble
Hey fle bibble de

O'Hanrahan
No O'Hanrahan

We drink and we sing
And we drink and we sing
Hey!

We drink and we drive
And we puke and we drink
Hey!

We drink and we fight
And we bleed and we cry
Hey!

We puke and we smoke
And we drink and we die
Hey!

Robert Frost, Jon.
Amended slightly.
Sorry, I should have credited him.

I'll raise a beer to another hobo.
Just spent two days with Willie, helping him get his home ready for a renter. Two days of packing, lugging, moving, scrubbing, banging, painting, spackling, vacuuming, buffing, wiping, polishing, shining, and wearing ourselves out.
It was great fun, though. Lot of talk, work, laughs, work, thoughts, work, and thoughtfulness.
At the end of it all, I got one hugely delicious steak, and got to sit on my tired *** and suck Lowenbrau while Willie did the honors.

The consumate host.
Here's what he's leaving behind:

The home:

The barn

The root cellar:

the silo: square outside, round on the inside, with three-foot-thick walls

Image

and the master-craftman's and set-designer's workshop and studio:

and he's leaving all this behind for... the condo-life and the big-time job.
But what a challenge, and opportunity.

My wife and kids absolutely adored him. When I told my daughter Leah, 7, that he was moving to Florida, she started tearing-up, and went weeping to the redhead to tell her too. The boys, more stoic, said they were going to miss him.

And me, I will miss him too.

God speed, brother and fellow-miscreant. Keep yourself safe 'til we get together again.

And that was that.
Will's southbound and rolling.
Gone everywhere but home.

I made him promise, though, if he gets himself some little brown-skinned southern babe, to set up a damn camera and send us boys some pictures! :D
