That first photo is a real beaut, looking down the length of the platform. Seems to go on forever.

My guesses:
1) The semaphore is disproportionate?
2) baggage cart too big?
3) Did the Maine Central and the Boston & Maine not share the same track?
4) There's a gigantic car bearing down on the back of the station, and there's no phone booth for Clark Kent in the blue suit?

Ha, ha, ha. Jon, this is more fun than I thought. Actually, there is a phone booth at the end of the platform. I want to get an evening shot because I added glass and lit it. Keep guessing, hobos. Blame the oversize baggage carts on Atlas. The kit was sprayed primer gray and then painted with acrylics. Blame the huge semaphore on MTH.

HINT: It's only in the first photo. It would be frowned upon as abnormal railroad practice by certain pompous Other forums, but not by MTJ members.

I believe I see a lady in dishabille!

(I can't say "naked" in case the Other Forum is watching)

Which would explain why the guy next to her has his legs crossed, and a newspaper over his lap.

I can hear the tongues clucking already, and feel the moral indignation...

"Oh, the depravity!!
How low will MTJ stoop?"

(And those guys know what 'sick' really is! They said so themselves!)

 :D

Most of those would have little interest in a woman in dishabille.

San, I think I drove one of those once. Dishabiles were never popular with a certain crowd, you're right. Far too racy and requiring a lot of carefully maintenance. But the performance is incredible.

I'm glad there's an engine under him. Raw track and rails is hard on the crotch.

Whoa!
With an engine like THAT sticking straight out front, can a tunnel be far down the track?
8)
