True. And I get the allure. It's pretty cool to work on something yourself like an Arduino program w/ relays to control some animation. It's another thing to be sold a commercial product with promises of ease and use that doesn't measure up to its hype.
But at this point, anyone who's been paying attention to the sheer volume of technical issues, the numerous revisions of hardware / software, and the very stripped down status of MTH, should be fleeing DCS not embracing it.

Makes me think of RC planes. One false move and there goes $$$$$$$$$ up in smoke.
Made me think of the B-52 video. That was a $20,000 airplane (2002?). Had the boys' $50 Walmart R/C plane out for the first time. Got to climb, put it into a big turn and then watched it fly straight into a stand of trees (about 40' off the ground). Stuck. Finito. "That's all folks!"
"Nice job, dad".
But at least in R/C, it does work right out of the box. And for trains, as in LionChief, it's a fabulous idea (and implementation). DCS, not so much.
