My first record player was 78rpm only. I remember the first 78 records that I bought with money I made from mowing yards on Saturday's. With a reel type push mower..... Remember those mowers

We had ice cube trays. We did not have a special section for them. I can remember the freezer solid ice resembling an igloo. My parents rented a house with a kitchen table similar. It was chrome and green.

Idk. Wasn’t there a slot up near the top of the tongue where you would insert the penny? Or is that penny loafers of the 21st century?

Yes in the slot. That is the way we did it back in the late 50s into the 60s when I was going to high school.

Penny loafers, levi's and a white dress type shirt with the shirt not tucked in. California surfer style

A few more. I wasn't lucky enough to have a trunk full of ladies. :D I sure lived with most of the others. I remember the TV tube tester well as I was the tube tester guy in our family as soon as I could drive.

I was so happy when all mom had was mercurochrome. That was really tame compared to tincture merthiolate. Now that stuff was like fire. I can remember blowing the wound on my finger as she was dabbing it on there. Oh boy!

Indeed, Mercurochrome was mild compared to Merthiolate. Did you know both contained Mercury?

Feb 12, 2021 — Merthiolate is a mercury-containing substance that was once widely used as germ-killer and a preservative in many different products,

Merbromin is found in some antiseptics. A common brand name is Mercurochrome, which contains mercury. Compounds like this that contain mercury have not been legally sold in the United States since 1998.
