Another couple of hours spent in the train house removing engines and rolling stock. Yeah, I know you think I'm being lazy about this. Naaaa. It's really amazing how much friggin' stuff a guy can accumulate over the years!!! Now the engines are going back in the original boxes, but I've developed a plan for the rolling stock. I'm NOT gonna pack all that crap back up in the hundreds of original boxes. What I've chose to do is buy these stackable drawers from Walmarts and place the stuff in this under the layout. I can stack 5 drawers with each drawer holding up to 9 reefers each with manilla paper strips in between them. Just something I thought I'd like to pass on.

Ya gotta be careful, Jon. Ya can't take a chance on destroyin' Gomers', Petes' or the whorehouse. That would be a disaster!

Mitch, I'm gonna start from the walls and work inward as I progress. I'm hoping the "city" might be spared destruction. Most of my buildings, streets, and alleys are actually movable. If you look closely in this picture all the streets and sidewalk cracks are just "plopped down" (Frank'sTM) then the cracks filled in with HO scale ballast.

I just read it in the news! It's now legal to drink beer on the subway in NY City.

So cheers!

Gog, where was everybody last night? Must have all been out on your tractors or something. Left me all alone drinking beer on the subway, sheesh. And that guy with the Pale Ale turned out to be quite an ashole.

But what's going on with you taking down the layout? I must've missed it. Or does the whole thing come down every year?

Andre, I could've used that lizard on the SUBWAY BY MY SELF last night.

Daisz, I've been formulating a new layout for over a year now. This week its finally HAMMER TIME!!! I'm going for larger diameter, more realistic looking track, along with nicer background detail. Showing me that ice cold Labatts is gonna make my last hour and a half at work even more unbearable!!!!!
