What do you grow? I like the tractors fine, I was just really wondering what you guys all did with them.

Tramp - not the nose you nuthead. I don't believe I've ever seen Perrine's nose anyway. It was the list of all your posts. I didn't know what all those Bs were either! And I'm not even from Chile (yet). Thought it was some kind of tractor thing.

I ordered a bottle as well. But make sure you stop by your local swimming pool supply store and pick up some Muriatic acid. I think thats the key to a good finish.

I was going to brag about the PRR GG1 that I bought today but instead I had to hold off a house rebellion. It appears it is official and I'm starving my children.

My oldest daughter age 15 coming in at 5' 5'' and 98 lbs officially announced that she needs more than one lunch at school. Of course my younger daughter joined the now growing rebellion.

She said that since the public school system has gone fat free nothing taste good let alone fills her up since they have reduce the portions. She is now demanding money to buy three lunches.

She calmly look at my new GG1 and said if I had money for that then buying her giving her enough money for three lunches each day should be easy.

I want to thank all of those great %$#&* ( damn liberals) for all their concern about the health of my children. Thanks to them my expense will go from $7.50 a week to $22.50 a week. My youngest has agreed to pack lunches since she doesn't like anything at all this year. She simply said it is like cardboard.

Now you know why I call the public school system the government school system, the public part was stolen years ago.

In any event I do have a cool GG1.

Miss D I am a full time farmer and in addition hold a full time corporate job. I raise beef cattle and hogs in addition to growing many vegetables. This doesn't count crops used for feed such as field corn, alfalfa and other grasses. Those big tractors are tools that make the job much easier though there is still a lot of hand work.

The vegetables are really the girls income each year and they probably net more free spending money than I do. I found it was far more easy to help them with the farming than to have to give them money every time they wanted some. They are required to put 50% into their college fund and are free to spend the rest. Each girl has spending money that ends with three zero's each year even after making the 50% contribution to their college fund.

Yeah I did suggest they fund their own lunch today but quickly dropped that idea when my wife threaten to make me move the train layout.

Hm, thanks Renova. How cool to farm.

My sincere and caring advice (having been 5'3 and 95 pounds for many many years): don't let them get away with that (I mean your girls.) One healthy lunch is plenty, and they're going through junk/fat withdrawl. It's a really good thing the school system did, and you should tell them that caringly. They'll be much healthier now and later. People eat way too freaking much, they don't need to and it's much much better for them not to, even at 15. They just need to adjust their thinking. Be a good dad and let them know rather than caving in to their naive demands.

Living and growing up on a farm you tend to have enough food at each dinner to feed an army. As a matter of fact there is more food than we know what to do with so the girls are use to eating when ever they want. The one thing you don't do on a farm is starve. A normal pasta dinner in this house of four is 2 lbs of spaghetti with no left overs. Of course it has either sausage or beef in it.

I don't worry too much about their weight because they are far more active than most people and need the calories. In addition they play year around sports.

No I don't agree with the new policy because they lump every body together as being over weight and eating nothing but junk food. That isn't the case plus I strongly feel it is the parents responsibility to raise their children. I can't help it if some of them have no clue on how to do it. Maybe they should regulate sex so they can really prevent the bad things after all they want to regulate everything else.

However having different opinions is good and I thank you Miss D for yours. YOUR COOL WITH ME!!!!

@ I have strong feelings when the government wants to get involved in the raising of my children. Those are my decisions as a parent. The next thing you know they will say who can have kids and who can't have kids. I just don't know where common sense went for a lot of todays parents. But I don't blame corporations I blame the parents who don't take control of their own actions. It is high time parents took control and not look to the government to correct what they are not willing to do.

Well I'm glad your girls have you looking out for them. And that they live and work on a farm. I don't see how the government deciding to have a fatty/sugary diet is any less interfering in parents raising their kids than the government deciding to have a healthier diet, but like you say, we all have our opinions and it's the nuts that you care so much.

Hey, we better watch it or they'll send us to the Rants thread! How about some beer in your diet? I'll buy. Tramp says beer is really really good for women especially.
