Now compare him to Senator Chuck Grassley from Iowa. Grassley will be 90 in September. He still visits all 99 counties in Iowa once each and every year, and has done so ever since being elected. He still runs (jogs) every day, and his mind is as sharp as a tack. OTOH, Senator Feinstein is workin' on 89, and she's not doing too well mentally or physically.
Biden will be lucky to remember there even is an election in November of 24.

Biden is just fine mentally as far as I (and many others with relevant professional training and experience) can tell from observation of video evidence. The fact that he's clumsy and has a stutter mean absolutely nothing to his cognitive functions. He's led the country very well during his 2 years as president, both domestically and internationally. And he hasn't said or done anything hostile to the poor, immigrants, the weak and disabled or other victims of Republican vitriol . If you really objected to vitriol, you wouldn't be voting Republican. It's often the party of hate. Many Republicans hate anyone with progressive views. Some hate women having autonomy. Some hate LGBT people. Some hate black people or Jews or Muslims. Etc.

Okay, so you're 80 and apparently in addition to being infirm as you noted above, you also have no memory at all.

Not even close on records for gas & inflation. Must have missed the 70's (remember gas rationing?) and 80's when we had record setting prices and inflation in double digits as well as record setting mortgage and loan rates that were also in the double digits.

Must have also missed those decades of the failed war on drugs with heroin and cocaine killing everyone. We've never really had any impact on illegal drug use in this country by any administration. Wish anyone would come up with a workable solution, but that seems unlikely to happen.

As for boarders; same story....the party of no answers and the party of bad answers both have failed miserably, yet funny thing is that the deportation rats are higher when Dems are in office which is a real headscratcher.

Interestingly the homeless around here aren't - there's orchestrated organized panhandling in operation - the homeless around here are a scam operation. They get transported to various corners and placed there purposely, and rotate through the area. People around here have recognized that this is organized and ignore them now.

They may be laughing yet they want to come here and want what we have.....and we have too many willing to give it away. Finally woke up and are moving chip and pharma production back to the US.

Trump can't win the general election. Right now we have the lowest rate of childhood poverty and adult deaths due to cardiovascular diseases and cancer in history/recent memory. Those are due by and large to efforts of bipartisan funding of childhood assistance, and medical research, not to mention cleaning up air pollution, which may be the most important cause of stroke and heart attack deaths. The recent increase in deaths is due to the pandemic. Our broken healthcare system does not provide anti-SARS-CoV2 medication rapidly enough and widely enough, and vaccination rates are lower than in almost all wealthier nations. I wonder who is to blame for that last fact? It isn't Joe Biden.

If you are vaccinated and get Paxlovid, your chances of dying, even if you are ancient, diabetic, etc. are very low indeed. All the deaths I hear about in hospital here are unvaccinated or immunocompromised patients who were not able to be treated with anti-virals in a timely fashion. Both Trump's and Biden's administration overall did a good job of providing and promoting vaccinations and research. The left and right wing anti-vaccine loonies have strongly compromised our ability to provide people with the best care. They are not only idiots, but complicit in mass death.

I don't think the President can do much acutely about hurricanes, flooding, earthquakes, heat waves, droughts, rising seas and wild fires. But he or she can provide legislation promoting non-polluting, climate neutral energy such as solar, tidal, wind and geothermal sources. Biden has done that. It will be critical during coming decades to have a robust public health infrastructure to deal with both climate and natural disaster related changes in infectious diseases. Medical research has already decreased deaths due to cardiovascular causes by many fold and cancer is next. Continued funding of medical research is needed. That seems to have bipartisan support.

Indeed all laws and most public policy are formulated in Congress. If the majority of sane Republicans can work with their sane Democratic colleagues to address pressing issues at home and abroad, I do not see the radical left and right posing much threat to our institutions. The radical left of the 1960s are long gone, Rush Limbaugh is dead and Tucker Carlson is unemployed. All good news .

Eradicating homelessness and poverty is possible, given the public will and government action. Not only is the end not nigh, but the future of the USA has never seemed brighter if we can ignore the voices of repression, hatred and ignorance and move forward to taking care of people and life sustaining food, shelter and medical care.
