In my case, (with only 16,000 miles on it), I brought it in at lunchtime and put it up in the air and took a good look. Didn't even make a repair order on it. It's already state inspected 'til Feb, and needs only an oil change and an air filter.

Hey Mitch,

You should check up on PA registration/inspection regulations. If the title changes hands, the vehicle is supposed to be reinspected by the new owner and the original owner's inspection is no good. Now, this may not apply if the vehicle is purchased/sold on the wholesale/dealer market, but I caught a lot of crap from the local cops after my Mom put MY car's title in my name when I turned 18, and my registration date didn't match my inspection sticker date.

Just might want to check...

Fred

It used to be that the state inspection sticker had to match the expiration of the license plate, but that is no longer the case. When I get my registration, the plate will expire next August, but the inspection sticker on the truck is still valid until February, at which time I'll do the state inspection myself, and it will expire the following Feb.

Hobos, let's drink to 1000 (one thousand) pages. Kind of nice when you think on it. I bet we've drunk 10,000 (ten thousand) beers posting 1,000 pages.

Gog, we're just off 15,000 (fifteen thousand) replies!
That a life will be spent gaining inches,
When this distance is read in miles.
